The Steelers played half their season against 2007 playoff teams, including both clubs that played in Super Bowl XLII. No team in the league had a higher combined opponents winning percentage than the .598 of the Steelers' opponents (153-103). Pittsburgh played New England, the New York Giants, Jacksonville, Washington, Tennessee, Indianapolis, San Diego and Dallas. In the final analysis, the Steelers would face six 2008 playoff teams: Baltimore twice; Indianapolis, San Diego and the Giants at home; and Philadelphia and Tennessee on the road.

AUSTRALIAN ACCENT

Arizona punter Ben Graham will be the first Australian to play in the Super Bowl. He was discovered in 1997 when he was playing Australian rules football for the Geelong Cats in the Australian Football League, but he didn't sign with the NFL until 2005. He was cut by the Jets twice this year and again by New Orleans.
