— Lodges, restaurants and ski shops in Vail report business was good over the Martin Luther King holiday weekend.

Lodges reported a rush of last-minute bookings that brought them to or near capacity.

Diane Milligan, manager of the Rams-Horn Condominiums, says guests reported good weather and snow.

Lodges are reporting good advance bookings for the President’s Day weekend on Feb. 14-16, but managers are bracing for a lull between now and then.

Restaurants say business was brisk Friday and Saturday but dropped off some on Sunday during NFL playoff games.
