Echo Mountain gets boost over holidays

Echo Mountain reported a revenue gain of almost 50 percent over the holidays as a record number of visitors hit the ski area.
Located about 35 miles from downtown Denver, Echo posted a 14 percent increase in ticket sales for the 10-day period starting Dec. 26. Total revenues rose 47 percent vs. the same time a year ago.
The ski and snowboard area expanded its night skiing program this season to include ski race training three nights a week.
