Coloradans to receive keys to Hall

2009 inductees will be honored

Several individuals and families will be honored Thursday night as new entrants to the Colorado Business Hall of Fame.

The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain Inc. will fete the 2009 inductees at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center.

The honorees:

* Bruce Benson, president of the University of Colorado, who will be honored for his commitment to education and his years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

* Public relations and advertising guru Cathey M. Finlon, who will be recognized for her role in the revival of downtown Denver and the development of the ad business in Colorado.

* The Loo family, who will be inducted in recognition of its success in building the Current greeting card business, a venture that began in a garage in Colorado Springs. Husband and wife Orin and Miriam and their sons Dusty and Gary also will be honored for their contributions to the community.

* Sam Maynes, national expert on water law and advocate for the Southern Ute tribe of Colorado. * Jordon Perlmutter and his family for their commitment to Jewish life in the metro area as well as his developments, including Southwest Plaza, Buell Mansion and Beth Israel at Shalom Park.

* Jack Vickers, who developed the Castle Pines Golf Club, home of the International tournament.
