Supporters and employees of the solar industry are expected at a "green jobs" rally Feb. 6.

The rally will begin at 1 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel and end at the state Capitol, kicking off the first day of the Colorado Solar Summit.

Colorado's solar industry is hoping for a better 2009 after a dismal fourth quarter in 2008. After two years of unbridled growth - 50 percent or more - sales of residential solar systems plunged 75 percent in the past quarter as customers canceled or postponed plans in the face of recession.
