Bill Pullman announced as Denver Film Festival honoree

Actor Bill Pullman, known for his work in films such as Independence Day, Sleepless in Seattle, A League of Their Own, While You Were Sleeping and The Grudge will be honored with the prestigious John Cassavetes Award at the Starz Denver Film Festival, Nov. 13 to 23.

Previous recipients of this award include Steven Soderbergh, Sean Penn, Nick Nolte, William H. Macy, Kevin Bacon and Tim Robbins. Pullman also appeared in Lost Highway, The End of Violence, Lake Placid and the recent Bottle Shock.
