ST. JAMES PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN LITTLETON - Ted Williams and Robert Hunter were talking with a reporter about the activity, or more specifically, inactivity of voters coming to their respective precincts - 142 and 143
"Turnout's been very, very slow" said Hunter, 66.
Williams said that 150 people eligible to vote in precinct 142 had yet to visit the polls. He said about 75 had cast ballots.
Despite the slow pace, both judges said that voting was important, with Williams saying it's practically religious.
"It's Biblical," said Williams, 60, a part-time preacher and full-time engineer. "It says in the Bible to trade in your talents. Voting is a talent., It's influence. So voting's a talent."
Hunter, retired military, said he didn't care how people voted as long as they showed up to vote.
"I've been all over the world," Hunter said. "I've been in countries where people wished they could vote."
Both judges said they had already voted by mail.
