It's a MOD MOD MOD MOD world

Published March 8, 2007 at midnight

Take current fashion plate Sienna Miller, cast her in the role of '60s "it" girl and style icon Edie Sedgwick, and you've got one groovy nod to mod.

With the recent release of Factory Girl, the swinging looks of 1965 are making a posh comeback. Micro-minidresses paired with opaque tights and cool flats, cropped jackets worn with skinny jeans and bold, psychedelic prints and patterns are all back on fashion's ever-revolving radar screen.

To help show off the Sedgwick style we asked Skye Forrest, a look-alike of Andy Warhol's muse and owner of chic boutique, The Skye, 1499 Blake St., to model some of today's hot ensembles.

Because, in the fashion world, mod is a trend darling once again. Even if it lasts for just 15 minutes.

Movie in a minute

Factory Girl starts as Edie Sedgwick (Sienna Miller) becomes a tabloid fixture in the New York social scene. Andy Warhol (Guy Pearce) brings Edie into his Factory workshop. Edie, like a contemporary Paris Hilton, reaches a social stratosphere quickly, but it is fleeting, and she spirals downward.
