This year's hottest prom fashions take a cue from the cast of The Hills, MTV's popular reality series that follows four fashion-minded friends as they gallivant around Los Angeles in short and sassy frocks.

The Laguna Beach spinoff features Lauren, a California beach girl aspiring to be a fashion designer; party girl Heidi, a native of Crested Butte who works for an entertainment production company; Whitney, a college student looking to parlay her Teen Vogue internship into a full-time job; and Audrina, a model/actress wannabe and receptionist at Epic records.
