Red Rocks rolls out acts

Once upon a time, we all waited until May to learn what was coming up at Red Rocks. Now we start getting the news before the snow has melted in Morrison, and this weekend tickets go on sale for shows that are five months in the future.

After a sold-out show there on their last tour, Rush returns Aug. 8. Tickets are $95.50, $75.50 and $48 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Tickets ($40, $50) are already on sale for the Sept. 11 Red Rocks date with Underworld and Paul Oakenfold.

Harry Connick Jr. and his Big Band are on the Rocks June 7. Tickets, $72.50, $59.50 and $39.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday.

A week after the release of her album Volta, Bjork will be at the amphitheater May 15. Tickets are $54 and on sale at 10 a.m. today.

Shows going on sale this week for other venues (at 10 a.m. Saturday through Ticketmaster, unless otherwise noted):

PARAMOUNT THEATRE - Joan Armatrading June 23, with seats selling for $55, $45 and $35; comedian Nick Swardson on May 18, $27.50.

FILLMORE AUDITORIUM - Tickets for Morrissey May 9 are $42.50 and $45. The Bouncing Souls May 11 are just $16. Joss Stone May 27 is $32.

• COORS AMPHITHEATRE - The South rises for the Volunteer Jam featuring The Charlie Daniels Band, The Marshall Tucker Band and The Outlaws May 31st. Tickets are $39.50 and $25.

GOTHIC THEATRE - Static X is May 29, $20; Bob Schneider returns June 2, $18; MXPX headlines June 10, $15; The Bravery takes the stage June 14; $15; and VNV Nation is June 19, $20.
