If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
The ability to fly. I've always wanted to be able to do that. I don't know anyone who wouldn't want to be able to fly.
If you could go anyplace for spring break, where would you go?
Anywhere that has a beach and is warm, so I could play in the ocean.
What was the hardest part about rehabbing your broken back?
Being so out of shape. I didn't realize how out of shape I could become. I wasn't able to play soccer. Since I'm a goalie and I have to dive a lot, I thought I might reinjure it. But I did track and then worked out with the football team over the summer. That made me realize how good weightlifting is for you, and I've done it ever since.
What are the three most-played songs on your iPod?
Attack by 30 Seconds to Mars, The Kill by 30 Seconds to Mars and Remember by Fort Minor.
If you could add any player to your team, who would it be?
Dale Ekberg of Golden. I played club ball with her and she has an awesome personality. She always is happy and always smiling and she really picks up her team. Plus, she's a great player.
Are you excited about David Beckham coming to the MLS and playing this summer in Colorado?
Of course. What soccer fan isn't? I have posters of him up on my wall.
If you could try to stop the penalty kick of anybody in the world, who would it be?
Mia Hamm. Why not?
You're in charge of the team dinner. Where do you take the Mustangs?
My house for spaghetti. We live in the mountains and it's the coolest house.
What do you think about when your team spends long stretches of the game on the offensive side of the field?
I try to keep focused on the game as much as possible, because once your mind starts wandering, it's not a good thing. I think about every possible save and envision making them over and over. It's the same way I warm up for games.
I hate games like that, because I think people are wondering how I was named All-State if I don't have to do anything. I'd much rather have to make a bunch of saves.
