NUMBERS GAME
60 games played by Nuggets center Marcus Camby for a minimum seasonal bonus of $1.5 million. If Camby reaches 65, he gets an extra $500,000 for games played and other statistical bonuses.
WAIT AND SEE
Nuggets coach George Karl will decide after his son Coby undergoes thyroid cancer surgery Monday in Boise if he will coach Tuesday in Los Angeles against the Lakers. He's pretty sure he will coach Wednesday against Sacramento.
"If it's quick and easy and he seems healthy (he'll coach Tuesday)," said Karl, who will fly after the game Sunday in Seattle to Boise. "But if it looks like he needs my support, I'm going to (stay)."
NO RUSH
Nuggets forward Eduardo Najera came back too soon last season after knee surgery and "missed out on a lot of fun." That's why Najera, who missed his third straight game Tuesday with a left tibia contusion, won't "push" his return.
"I'm going to take care of myself a little better," said Najera, who said the bruise affects much of the lower part of his leg, but he will try to play Friday at Phoenix.
HE SAID IT
"The referees tell me that I'm much stronger than my defender out there, so they kind of let some things slide."
Carmelo Anthony, Nuggets forward, who says he gets "beat up a lot" but fouls often aren't called.
