Plea deal possible in deadly hit-run
DA says man who lost family to talk to his in-laws first

Frank Bingham will meet with his wife's family before any plea bargains are offered to the two men accused of killing his wife and their two young children in a hit-and-run accident last year, Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey said Tuesday.
Frank and Becca Bingham, 39, were downtown for a night out on Nov. 10 with their 4-year-old daughter, Macie, and 2-year-old son, Garrison, when they were run down at Arapahoe and 15th streets. Frank Bingham was the only one to survive.
Lawrence James Trujillo, 36, is charged with multiple counts of vehicular homicide and child abuse. Eric Snell, 35, who police say was a passenger in Trujillo's car, is facing six counts of accessory to a crime and one count of DUI.
Morrissey, who is prosecuting the case himself, brought up the possibility of a plea deal Tuesday in Denver District Court. When asked about it afterward, he said that Frank Bingham will have to talk to his wife's sisters who live out of state before any deals are considered.
Trujillo and Snell were in court Tuesday for a disposition hearing that was continued until April 24. Frank Bingham attended the hearing. He declined to talk.
Several motions, including a request for a change of venue and to suppress written statements, will be addressed at the next hearing.
Snell, who is out on $25,000 bail, is scheduled to go to trial May 29. Trujillo's trial is scheduled for Aug 6.
