3 runaways found safe
Published March 28, 2007 at midnight
Three brothers, missing since 2:30 a.m. Monday in Frisco, were found safe this morning at the Conoco Station at Copper Mountain, Summit County sheriff's authorities reported.
The children were identified as David Ray Hickman, 14, Cody Andregg, 11, and Dakota Andregg, 9 years old.
The three, who have a history of running away according to the Summit Daily News, apparently took off this time because one of them was due in court on a theft charge.
Their mother, Heidi Andregg, told the paper when she checked on the kids early Monday morning, their beds were empty.
Police tried to contact a home of a relative in Arizona but found no one was home.
Summit County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Paulette Horr said a statewide alert was issued to all law enforcement agencies and this morning someone called the Summit County Communications Center saying three youngsters matching the description of three missing boys were at the Conoco Station.
They were taken to St. Anthony's Medical Center for evaluation.
Their mother told the Daily News she was ecstatic to hear her boys were all right and she had a pizza waiting for them when they came home.
