Cleric accused A Lakewood minister has been accused of sexually assaulting two children 10 years ago while they attended a day care his wife ran in their home.

Stephen J. Heese, 52, was charged Feb. 14 in connection with the case and is scheduled to appear in court in Jefferson County today on four felony charges.

The alleged victims, a 16-year- old girl and a 19-year-old boy, are siblings. The pair contacted police last year, saying they were assaulted between 1992 and 1994.

Heese, pastor of The Church in South Denver, denies the allegations. His church is supporting him, said Ray Brown, a church elder.Heese is free on $25,000 bail.

Felony charges possible The Colorado State Patrol is considering recommending felony charges against a ski shuttle driver who struck a parked snowplow on Interstate 70, injuring nine people, state patrol Capt. Ron Prater said Monday.

Colorado Mountain Express shuttle driver Sebastian Lopez, 28, has been moved to an administrative off-road position, company CEO Jay Ufer said.

The crash Sunday morning near the Eisenhower Tunnel injured the plow driver and eight passengers of the ski shuttle, but Lopez was not hurt, troopers said.Three people remained hospitalized Monday in Denver.
