An Amber Alert was canceled Sunday evening after an 8-year-old boy was found safe, but authorities were continuing to search for a 25-year-old man who allegedly abducted the child.

The Elbert County Sheriff's Office said Bryant Hall took the boy Sunday afternoon as Hall fled deputies who were trying to arrest him on an outstanding warrant for a parole violation in Colorado.

Hall was in handcuffs when he jumped into a 2003 red Pontiac Trans Am and took off with the boy.

Authorities believe Hall is likely now using another vehicle. He is described as black, 5-feet-8-inches tall, 165 pounds with shaved black hair, brown eyes and tattoos at the corner of his left and right eyes.
