A Colorado Springs man was sentenced to 12 years in prison Friday for throwing a Molotov cocktail into a LoDo law office and then firing shots at two people.

John Volske, 71, was involved in a dispute with a company represented by the law firm, Appel and Lucas PC at 1917 Market St.

Witnesses said Volske opened the firm's front door, threw a flaming paper bag into the office and then left without saying anything.

The firm had sued Volske in 2003.
