Woman double alcohol limit in fatal crash
Published March 23, 2007 at midnight
A 21-year-old driver had a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit when she smashed head-on into a Jeep Wrangler on U.S. 36 near the Wadsworth Boulevard overpass on March 16.
The Westminster Police Department's Critical Accident Investigation Team reported those results for Rachel Lucille Wilson of Louisville today.
Wilson was severely injured and a passenger in her Honda Civic, Andrew Peter Clausen, 27, of Longmont, was killed.
The driver of the Jeep Wrangler, Ronald F. Hamilton, 49, of Broomfield, was treated for minor injuries.
Police are waiting until Wilson gets out of the hospital before pressing charges.
