First Job, March 23

Beverly Cribari

Executive director, Colorado Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals

First job: bank teller

"I served customers' banking needs and accounted for the monies," said Cribari. "It was an excellent starting position for a single mom."

In addition to gaining money handling and accounting skills, Cribari learned how to figure out and serve each client's needs, while acquiring excellent people and listening abilities.

"I was an introvert," she said, "and the position forced me out of that trait. It was kind of like being a bartender."

Cribari says she had to work every third Saturday, but the normal business hours still allowed her to spend time with her son.
