Mike Shaw
President, Mike Shaw Automotive
"The purpose of every business is to get and keep a customer."
In the early 1980s, Shaw came across the words in a book written by a Harvard business professor.
"The advice has guided me very well," Shaw said. "His words have taught me that when I'm dealing with a customer, to look at and treat them as though they were my mother and father. Then the job is bringing that philosophy into the dealership, or any business."
Shaw says the words have kept him customer focused every single day throughout his career in the automotive sales industry.
"I don't care what the business is, customers write our paychecks."
