Jig's up for St. Patty's Day drunk drivers

There were 355 DUI arrests made over the St. Patrick's Day weekend by the Colorado State Patrol and 58 police and sheriff's departments in the state.

The arrests came during the enforcement period that started at 6 p.m. Friday and ending at 3 a.m. Monday.

The Colorado State Patrol made 106 DUI arrests followed by the Denver Police Department with 29 DUI arrests, Colorado Springs with 24, Aurora with 21, Greeley with 18, Larimer County Sheriff's Office with 15, Longmont police with 11, and Lakewood with 10.

The State Patrol reported five traffic fatalities over the St. Patrick's Day weekend. It is unknown yet how many of those deaths involved alcohol.
