Filmmaker backs Latino museum plan

A Hollywood filmmaker teamed up with Colorado Sen. Ken Salazar on Tuesday in hopes of advancing a proposed National Museum of the American Latino Community.
At a Senate subcommittee hearing, Moctesuma Esparza, a producer behind movies such as The Milagro Beanfield War, endorsed Salazar's proposed legislation to create a commission to study the museum. He said the museum would honor the descendants of Spanish settlers.
