Classes at Bear Creek High School have been canceled until April 2 because of ongoing cleanup from a fire in the art room last Saturday night.

The fire broke out around 11 p.m. and was contained in one wing of the building although two other classrooms were affected.

Jeffco Public Schools are on spring break from March 26 through 30.

Students will now be required to attend classes on Monday, April 2, and Friday, April 27, to make up for the classroom days lost due to the fire. These were originally scheduled as days off for students, but working days for teachers.
