Published March 20, 2007 at midnight
An excited shopper dropped by Schrader Country Store in Fort Collins saying she possessed the $6.9 million Colorado Lottery ticket that matched all six numbers in the Lotto drawing last Saturday.
The name of the shopper hasn't been made public and she hasn't officially claimed her prize yet. The deadline to claim the prize is September 13.
Debbie Mathewson, manager of the store, said the winner came into the store on Monday morning to share in the excitement.
"It was nice to know that the winner is a local person, one of our frequent shoppers. It was a lot of fun to see how happy and excited (the winner) is."
The winning numbers on Saturday were 5, 8, 9, 19, 24 and 37. The probability of winning the Lotto jackpot is 1 in 5.2 million.
