Teen arrested in hit-and-run

An 18-year-old Highlands Ranch man was arrested for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident after running into a woman in the parking lot at the King Soopers at 8673 S. Quebec St. yesterday.
Douglas County Deputy Cocha Heyden said Austin Davis was tracked down after witnesses gave police the license number of the car that fled.
Heyden said the woman was in the crosswalk in front of the store headed to the parking lot when the car struck her about 3:57 p.m.
Davis was taken to the Douglas County Detentions Facility and booked on suspicion of: vehicular assault, failure to remain at scene/failure to render aid, failure to remain at the scene of serious bodily injury, DUI, driving under influence of drugs, and reckless driving.
The victim was hospitalized with serious bodily injuries.
