Douglas County Sheriffs authorities are passing flyers today through a neighborhood where a 78-year-old man suffering from Alzheimers and dementia may have taken a bus from his neighborhood.
Sheriffs spokeswoman Cocha Heyden said in talking to neighbors, they found witnesses who saw Roger Matoon, 78, waiting for a bus yesterday afternoon at Wildcat Reserve Parkway and Fairview.
Another tip indicated he possibly was spotted at the bus stop in the area of West Quincy Avenue and Biscay Street about 7 p.m. last night.
Authorities handed out Matoons picture and information along the bus route as well as other jurisdictions.
Matoon is 5-foot-6, 180 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, brown pants and black Velcro fastened shoes.
If you think you have seen him, call the Douglas County Sheriffs Office at 303-660-7500.
