DINO'S VS. DINO'S
This town might not be big enough for two Dino's restaurants, especially when both are peddling pizza - one of them for 46 years.
In 1961, Dino Dipaulo opened Dino's Italian Food at 10040 W. Colfax Ave. in Lakewood with five tables. The upstart is Dino's Pizza, opened in October at 644 Santa Fe Drive by Dino Mario Marchig.
On March 5, the older Dino's filed a trademark infringement lawsuit, noting that it owns the trademark rights to Dino's Pizza. A hearing on the case is scheduled for today.
"We are protecting more than a restaurant name. It's our livelihood. We've worked very hard to accomplish what we've accomplished." Judy DiPaulo Duren Dino DiPaulo's daughter who now runs Dino's Italian Food
"I don't shy away from competition - it's what makes me stronger - but I am not trying to compete with them."
Dino Mario Marchig who says he doesn't see a problem with the similar names because of their different locations, menu and customer base

LOPEZ 1, HICK 0
Danny Lopez is first to admit that he's got a "snowball's chance in hell" of beating Mayor John Hickenlooper in the election in May.
But at least he got top line on the ballot Monday when the Denver Election Commission held a drawing to determine the order of candidates' names.
Lopez, wearing blue jeans and cowboy boots and accompanied by his granddaughter, flashed a smile when his name was called first.
