Snow, ice, and accidents combined to close parts of I-70 today. State transportation officials have reopened eastbound lanes, but westbound portions of the interstate remain closed.

Colorado Department of Transportation crews are working to clear vehicles involved in accidents that forced closures on both sides of the highway.

Visibility along the I-70 corridor remains poor, and snow flurries are expected to continue through the evening.
