BOULDER - Tess Damm, the 15-year-old accused of conspiring to murder her mother, won't be allowed to attend her mother's funeral.

A Boulder district judge on Thursday denied a motion by Damm's guardian ad litem that she be allowed out of the Boulder County Juvenile Detention Facility in order to attend the funeral of Linda Damm.

Boulder district attorney spokeswoman Carolyn French said Damm will stay in custody.

The funeral is private, and officials declined to give the date or place.

Damm is one of four teens arrested in connection with the woman's death. Lafayette police found Linda Damm's body on Feb. 28 in the trunk of a Subaru parked in the garage of the victim's house at 705 W. Brome Place in the Beacon Hill subdivision.

According to arrest reports, Tess Damm's boyfriend, Bryan Grove, 17, told her in early February that he could take care of the problem between Tess and her mother.

In one arrest report, Grove describes that later that day he choked Linda Damm, then stabbed her several times in the neck. Grove faces a charge of first-degree murder and two other charges.
