Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash

A 51-year-old motorcyclist was injured this morning when his Harley Davidson crashed into a Chevrolet Trailblazer attempting to make a turn from East Yale Avenue onto South Abilene Street.

The motorcyclist, Randy Savely of Aurora, was taken to Columbia South Hospital about 5:30 a.m. where he is listed in "serious condition."

Lt. Rob McGregor reported Daniel Johnson, 59, of Aurora, who was driving the Blazer, wasn’t injured.
