STUDENTS ON PARADE

140 Number of high school students who are expected to participate today in Student Legislative Education Day at the state Capitol. This is the third year Senate Majority Leader Ken Gordon, D-Denver, has organized the event.

GOVERNOR WHO?

David Skaggs, the new director of the Department of Higher Education, told the Democratic caucus Wednesday that when he was appointed to the post, he sent an e-mail to his colleagues.

The only problem is, he wrote that he was going to work for Gov. Bill Owens instead of Gov. Bill Ritter.

Not be outdone, at the same meeting, Lt. Gov. Barbara O'Brien said Gov. Romer couldn't be there because he had a prior commitment.
