Add "father" to Carmelo Anthony's resume.

The Nuggets' star forward became a daddy at 1:35 p.m. today when his fiancee, La La Vazquez, gave birth to the couple's first child.

The couple has known for some time the child would be a boy, so they chose the name Kiyan (pronounced Kai-ann) and Melo painted his son's room nautical blue. Kiyan weighs 5 pounds, 9 ounces and is 18 1/2 inches long.

The family is doing well, according to Nuggets officials, but Melo did not make the trip for the Nuggets' game at Golden State tonight.
