Garrett Atkins extended his hitting streak to all five games in which he has played as he doubled home one run and scored another in the Rockies' 6-3 victory against the Chicago White Sox at Hi Corbett Field on Tuesday. . . . Kaz Matsui drove in two runs with a second-inning triple. . . . Ryan Speier, who missed last season recovering from surgery to repair a torn right labrum, worked one shutout inning. . . . Rodrigo Lopez, set for the Rockies rotation, worked two shutout innings before giving up three runs in the third, including a two-run home run to A.J. Pierzynski. . . . The Rockies have two morning "B" games scheduled with the White Sox - Thursday at Hi Corbett Field and March 14 at the White Sox's minor league complex.

Closer Brian Fuentes, who skipped his scheduled spring training debut Sunday because of some back soreness, will pitch in today's game against Milwaukee.
"It wasn't a big deal," he said. "I could have pitched, but we decided against it."
Part of the concern is the game was at Tucson Electric Park on a cool evening when the wind was blowing so hard, Pima County fire officials ordered the Diamondbacks to cancel a postgame fireworks show.
Danny Graves will make his spring training debut Thursday against the White Sox. He has been slowed by a strained muscle in his side.
