Ritter to face pitch from his own son

Published March 5, 2007 at midnight

Yo, Dad, send money.

That's a common refrain from college students, but in this case it's not just any college kid and not just any dad.

August William Ritter III, known to his friends and family as August, will be at the Capitol today, where he'll be asking August William Ritter Jr., known to friends as Bill and to the public as Gov. Ritter, for more money for higher education.

August III, a junior at Colorado State University, is the media coordinator for The Associated Students of Colorado. The group will be at the Capitol today to lobby lawmakers and other officials on behalf of the state's colleges and universities.
