Two shows for Police

Published March 2, 2007 at midnight

As predicted, tickets for The Police sold out in record time last week; also as predicted, a second show has been added. The June 10 Pepsi Center show goes on sale at 10 a.m. Monday through Ticketmaster, priced at $50, $90 and $225 (though the best seats are being held back in packages costing $380 and $455 a seat, and the various fan-club and Best Buy presales started Thursday). One hopes the second show will drive down some eBay prices, where scalpers are trying to sell bad seats at ridiculous prices.

PARAMOUNT THEATRE - Damien Rice performs on May 5 with no opening act. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, $39. American Idol winner Taylor Hicks is set for April 29, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, $39.50 and $59.50.

FILLMORE AUDITORIUM - On sale at 10 a.m. Saturday are tickets for Dimmu Borgir, May 21, $16 and Gov't Mule, who does two nights on April 26 and 27, $25 per day or $40 for both.

BOULDER THEATER - Lindsey Buckingham returns for two solo shows on April 16 and 17, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, $55 reserved. Stephen Marley is there April 6, $20. (Boulder Theater box office or bouldertheater.com).

OGDEN THEATRE - Tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday for Type O Negative, April 15, $23.

BLUEBIRD THEATER - On sale at 10 a.m. Saturday are tickets for On the One, March 20, $8; Furious George, March 30, $8; and Heavyweight Dub Champion, April 13, $10.

MAGNESS ARENA - The Newsboys are set for April 7 with tickets on sale now,$18 to $55. All tickets are through Ticketmaster unless indicated otherwise.
