PRICE COMING DOWN

$599 Price tag for Sony's newest Blu-ray disc player, due out this summer. The BDP-S300 will have the same capabilities as the current BDP-S1, which retails for $999. Sony and Samsung are working to bring down the price of Blu-ray players as they battle for market share against rival HD DVD players, where Toshiba has a model on the market for $499.
