One man has been confirmed dead in a fiery head-on collision between to semi trucks on state Highway 14 about 10 miles east of Ault.

The state patrol said the crash happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. and that witnesses reported an explosion before both trucks were engulfed by flames.

One man was dead at the scene. Another man was transported by ambulance to the Colorado Plains

Medical Center oin Fort Morgan.

The state patrol said the fuel tanks on both trucks were ruptured in the crash and that troopers were also dealing with a diesel fuel spill.

Both vehicles fuel tanks were ruptured at impact and Troopers have

encountered a diesel spill.
