VALUE OF COLLEGE DEGREE FALLS

A 5 percent earnings drop was recorded between 2000 and 2004 for people with bachelor's degrees, but they'll still earn an average of about $1.2 million more than high school graduates over a 40-year career.

PESOS FOR PIZZA LIFTS SALES

Once Pizza Patron began accepting pesos for its pizzas in January, the company's same-store sales rose by almost a third from the previous year.

Pizza Patron has opened six new stores, with plans for 15 more in Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, California and Florida by year's end and 40 more in 2008.
