BECKHAM OUT SIX WEEKS David Beckham could miss the rest of the Los Angeles Galaxy's season after being diagnosed with a sprained right knee.
He was expected to be out about six weeks and immediately will begin rehabilitation.
The English midfielder underwent an exam that confirmed he sprained the medial collateral ligament in the knee.
Beckham was injured on a tackle by Pachuca midfielder Fernando Salazar in the first half of Wednesday night's SuperLiga title match.

Gay captures 200 for second gold
OSAKA, Japan - Tyson Gay completed a historic sprint double Thursday when he caught up with Jamaica's Usain Bolt halfway through the 200 meters and won in a time of 19.76 seconds at the World Track and Field Championships.
"I have two golds and I want the third," Gay said, referring to the 400 relay.
Maurice Greene (1999) and Justin Gatlin (2005) are the only previous male athletes to have won sprint doubles at the championships.
Gay increased the gold count to six for the United States, which leads with 13 medals. Russia has three gold and 10 total. Kenya is third with three gold and eight overall.
