CU stabbing suspect in mental hospital

Kenton Astin, suspected of slashing a University of Colorado freshman Monday in Boulder, was transferred to the Colorado Mental Health Institute in Pueblo yesterday.
Astin, 39, had been recovering from self-inflicted stab wounds at
Boulder Community Hospital, where he was taken after the knife attack
on Michael Knorps. He was not booked into the Boulder County Jail prior
to his transfer to the state's mental hospital.
