BROWN: Clyne tops lineup
Published August 31, 2007 at midnight
It's still August - barely - yet the summer concert season is starting to wind down, with fewer shows on sale.
Fortunately, great music is still out there. The brilliant Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers are at the Boulder Theater on Oct. 13, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, $16 (Ticketmaster).
The following shows also go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday through Ticketmaster unless otherwise noted:
BOULDER THEATER: Gogol Bordello plays on Oct. 29 and 30, $20 (on sale now).
MACKY AUDITORIUM: 12 Girls Band plays on Nov. 5, $39.50 and $49.50.
OGDEN THEATRE: Senses Fail and New Found Glory play on Nov. 9, $20 (on sale now).
COMEDY WORKS: Daily Show correspondent John Oliver is set for several shows on Nov. 2 and 3, $23 (on sale now, comedyworks.com).
RUMORS AND HEARSAY: Two concerts for October have been pushed back to spring - Kenny G at the Paramount and The Cure at Red Rocks. You can get a refund or hang on to your tickets for the new dates . . . Fans are speculating that Bruce Springsteen might add a Denver date between his Michigan and Washington, D.C., appearances, but again - we're not getting the tour till next year . . . Mark Olson at the Walnut Room on Sept. 16 . . . Boulder bluesman Otis Taylor is at the Oriental Theatre Sept. 7, well worth catching.
