Proving that we're all suckers for a story of redemption, Duane Chapman's You Can Run but You Can't Hide hits No. 1 on the Times list. Press material notes that the criminal-turned-bounty hunter "went from ex-con to American icon." Nice turn of phrase - but icon? Put Chapman on alert: Someone should be arrested for that absurd overstatement .
