Whole Foods to keep Boulder Wild Oats open
Published August 30, 2007 at midnight
Whole Foods Market said today it will keep all Wild Oats Markets stores in Boulder open and that it will lower prices at all 23 Wild Oats stores in the Rocky Mountain region.
The company, whose takeover of Wild Oats received approval earlier this month, said in a news release that it will renovate and expand its Pearl Street location, adding 200 jobs, by 2010. The expansion to 73,000 square feet will make the store its largest in Colorado.
Plans also call for the company to renew Ideal Market and Alfalfa's Market.
The company did not release any other announcements regarding Wild
Oats markets in Colorado or elsewhere.
