An Englewood firefighter has been fired for allegedly viewing child pornography on the Internet while on duty during the past month.

Carmen DeLeone, 42, who joined the department in 2004, also is being investigated for possible criminal charges.

Investigators allege that DeLeone viewed child pornography and related Web sites on a city computer.

DeLeone voluntarily went to the Englewood police station Tuesday where he was questioned and released. Search warrants for his home, car and work area also were executed.
