New ski pass deal for Intrawest trio

Published August 29, 2007 at midnight

Intrawest has introduced a new season pass that gives skiers unlimited access to Winter Park and Copper Mountain, plus 6 days of unrestricted skiing and free Friday afternoons at its Steamboat resort.

The Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus is the resort operator's first discount pass that includes Steamboat, which it acquired at the end of last ski season.

It will sell for $489 through Labor Day Weekend.

"We carefully tailored that pass" for Front Range skiers, said Andy Wirth, Intrawest's marketing chief.

Wirth said sales of the pass have been strong so far among Front Rangers who frequently visit nearby areas for the day, but also spend a few weekends or a whole week each season at a "destination resort" such as Steamboat.

An "Ultimate Pass" is available for $1344 and offers unlimited skiing at all three of the resorts, plus a free child's pass for every adult pass purchased. The pass costs just $50 more than the currently available price for a Steamboat-only season pass.
