Longmont man accused of sex with runaway teen

Published August 29, 2007 at midnight

A 31-year-old Longmont man was arrested on suspicion of having sex with a runaway teen and giving her cocaine, police said.

The man was identified as Auden Rosas-Marioni. He is being held at the Boulder County Detention Center on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a felony, as well as misdemeanor sex assault and traffic charges.

The girl, 16, told police yesterday that she had been hiding in Rosas-Marioni's apartment in the 800 block of South Bowen Street for about five days, authorities said.

The girl said Rosas-Marioni gave her crack cocaine and marijuana. She also claimed he was selling crack cocaine from his apartment, had a gun in his home, and that she and Rosas-Marioni had sex.

Police then staked out the man's home while a search warrant was prepared. Upon leaving the home, Rosas-Marioni was pulled over because of a suspended driver's license.

Police then called a SWAT team to serve the search warrant on the home. Authorities said they found a 9mm semiautomatic handgun among other items during the search.

Longmont police said three adults were contacted and released during the search. Four others, including a juvenile, were arrested on warrant, traffic offenses or possession of cocaine.

The case remains under investigation.
