The city of Englewood has fired a firefighter for allegedly using a city-owned computer to access child pornography while on duty, according to city officials.

Police may soon file charges against Carmen DeLeone, 42, who is cooperating with authorities, according to a statement from the Department of Safety Services.

Investigators have executed search warrants on DeLeone's home and car, the authorities said.

Investigators said they believe DeLeone used a firehouse computer to watch pornographic images of children while on the clock.

Officials said there is no evidence to suggest DeLeone "has had any sexual contact with any children at any time."

DeLeone had been a firefighter with the department since 2004.
