Published August 28, 2007 at midnight
The Broncos apparently reached the NFL-mandated roster maximum of 75 today by cutting punter Paul Ernster and safety Quentin Harris.
Neither player was at practice, a strong indication they were the Broncos final two cuts. NFL teams have until 2 p.m. today to inform the league of its cuts.
Ernster and Harris would join eight other players Denver is believed to have cut defensive end Kenard Lang, defensive tackle Demetrin Veal, receivers David Terrell and David Kircus, kicker Brandon Pace, running backs Cedric Cobbs and Troy Fleming and tight end Teyo Johnson.
