Man sought for trying to lure Littleton boy

Published August 28, 2007 at midnight

Littleton police are looking for a man who tried to lure a 10-year-old boy into his car as the youngster walked home Friday afternoon.

Police said Monday that a man driving a black Toyota Camry pulled up next to the boy twice, asking him, "Please get into my car."

The boy, a student at Damon Runyon Elementary, was walking home and was near West Ridge Road and South Elati Street at the time. The boy was scared and walked away, police said. The boy ran the second time the man approached him.

The man in the vehicle was last seen driving north on South Delaware Street.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 35 to 40 years old, dark-skinned with black hair. He spoke with a Spanish accent and was wearing a white shirt with blue and yellow stripes and a black cowboy hat.

His car is an older model black four-door with a brown interior and papers scattered inside.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Littleton Police Department Investigations Division at 303-795-3890.
