‘Flight from hell’ mom undergoing psych exam

The California woman accused of getting drunk and abusing her two children on a flight to Denver is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation, according to court documents.

Tamera Freeman, 38, was arrested in July after authorities said she was drinking heavily on a San Francisco-to-Denver flight. She also is accused of repeatedly hitting her 2-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter and throwing a drink at a flight attendant.

She is being held in jail without bail while the evaluation is conducted.

Meanwhile, a federal judge has ordered that Andy Osuna, accused of a drunken disturbance on a Chicago-to-Las Vegas flight earlier this month, be released to a Denver-area halfway house.

Osuna, 29, groped a flight attendant and told another passenger he wanted to have sex with her. A scuffle broke out, and the flight was diverted to Denver, where Osuna was arrested. He told authorities after his arrest that he has a drinking problem, according to an affidavit filed in federal court.

Both Freeman and Osuna are charged with interference with a flight attendant. Freeman also faces two counts of assault.
